SOLVE IT Prize
Are you a community interested in collaborating with a team to compete for up to $730,000 prize?
The SOLVE IT Prize first phase of competition, to identify a challenge facing the community that can be addressed by an innovative clean energy solution, and submit a clear plan for engaging with the community, closes April 12, 2024.
The benefit of competing for a Prize (vs. other opportunities like grants or procurement contracts) is the ease of submission, not requiring past experience or success in getting federal funds, it just requires your expertise in the Prize topic area.
“The SOLVE IT Prize will support communities as they identify and work to implement innovative clean energy solutions in a way that works best to address their unique needs and challenges. By empowering communities to solve their energy-related challenges, the SOLVE IT Prize looks to promote the commercialization of promising energy technologies in a way that will lead to an equitable and just energy transition.”
“Competitors will work collaboratively with stakeholders interested in community-scale (neighborhood-, town-, or city-scale) planning around clean energy to engage their communities, build a network of support for clean energy or decarbonization projects, and develop plans for carrying these projects out.”
The issue is, these competitors may not know you, the communities! I can help you connect or form your own team to compete directly.
